Modernizing Your Vintage Look...

I love, absolutely just love modernizing Vintage pieces. A lot of the times we just go straight out looking like a ghost from the 40s or somebody's grandmother, and THATS NOT IT. We take great structured vintage pieces that has a relevant shillouette (touch your neighbor and say "RELEVANT SHILLOUETTE") and add modern pieces to it, whether it's a great Christian Louboutin (no platform) or an amazing Christian Liqourx belt.

Here is an amazing 1950s Vintage Champagne color dress. This amazing vintage dress has a ornate golden bow shaped beading at the bodice, large beaded bows wrap around the lower bodice and are accented with prong set amber rhinestones.  An amazing scooped neck with princess seaming. The skirt has small scattered gathers topped with a large amber rhinestones.

Next to add to this look and to cover up that back because we don't do exposed backs in Holiness (HELLO LIGHTS!). We have put an amazing ribbon 1960s vintage fur trimmed cream jacket. I've been noticing a lot of ribbon pieces where made in the 50s and 60s which to me are absolutely beautiful.

Thirdly we have one of my favorite pieces, my go to handbag when styling a "client", a Mary Frances handbag! I'm use to a Swarovski crystal handbag but everyone and their mother started carrying them so I searched for something that stood out from the crowd and made a statement all by itself. This is called the "Victorian Mini Handbag" of course because it gives a Victorian era look to it. Most of their bags are one of a kind so you won't have to worry about running into anyone with the same bag unless you run into the wife of the person who gave me the 411 (MJB) on these amazing bags.

Last but certainly not least (a necklace needs to be added) a great pair of Jeweled Macrome DOLCE & GABBANA pumps. That's all that needs to be said; I certainly hope this has helped someone with modernizing their vintage look. IF TOU ARE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING ANY OF THE TWO VINTAGE PIECES LISTED, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT thevintageguy87@gmail.com!
