It's SUNDAY!!!

OH!!!! It's Sunday and it's time to put your good things ON!!!! I can't wait for Sunday's to get here, not only will I be able to gather with the saints for worship, a word, and a good dance, but I will also be able to put on some mighty good VINTAGE garments of praise. Ladies let me excite you and help you out this morning in case you can't find anything to wear. The Fashion Guy With The Vintage Eye is here to help. Get back satan, you won't bind our praise today.

First off, I am sick of all this warm weather we've been having. I'm from Brooklyn but I live in Atlanta and yes it's warmer here because it is the south but GOOD LORD, it's a few days from December can we get some wind and a cold front. I'm ready to put on A GOOD DEAD ANIMAL. Anyway here is something that's perfect for this type of weather.

I'm in love with this black velvet and pink lace 1950s "frock". It has an amazing floral design on it and embellished with pieces of glitter throughout this entire vintage piece. I chose velvet because it's almost winter. Don't get caught up in these warm weather patterns during a cold month. My mother calls that pneumonia weather. Also the lace because it would be very uncomfortable in a full velvet VINTAGE number, sweating amongst the saints like you are having hot flashes and you aren't. So this was a great find and if you're interested in purchasing just email me at thevintageguy87@gmail.com. It's a size 10 but the bust can fit up to a size 14 (the bust alone).

Now you all should know that I am obsessed with Mary Frances, thanks to my good friend Pastor Kevin Gore of Virgina who introduced me to these incredibly designed and masterful masterpieces of a handbag.

This amazing handbag is called the "Parisian  Handbag". It has pink beaded flowers intermingled with green and black beaded accents. This thing right here excites me and it also allows you to play around with colors. When I'm styling women I always let them know that their handbag is their crayon box. This where your color pallet is. Just don't end up looking like a box of crayons...

I then pulled out an old, simple, but yet relevant Shellie McDowell felt or velour brim. Something simple, no stones needed but in a hat pin. The architecture is great and sturdy. The satin bow gives it it's feminine charm, and a hat pin will say "It's Church Time". Check out Shellie McDowell on Facebook and her website at www.shelliemcdowell.com.

Last but certainly not least here is a simple black So Kate Christian Louboutin 120mm gooooooooood shoe!!! My boy hat designer and stylist, Verlon Lofton has me stuck on the "So Kate" style. It's simple and classic but yet speaks volumes. I was going to do a green show with it but decided the dress is the main feature of this entire look and I didn't want to take from that.

It's church time saints, and as Pastor Kevin Bond says, "I got church feet"!!!! I hope everyone has a great sunday and gets whatever they need from the Lord today.

If I can help someone along this journey then my styling won't be in vain.
