Preparing for COGIC Aim 2015!!!!

I am super excited about Aim coming up in just a few weeks, I've started packing already. Well not really packing but pulling looks together. I was in search over a few Blazers and I stumbled upon this incredible vintage green plaid blazer. This green makes such a bold statement I couldn't leave it so I purchased it. Now being that I am a size 44L and the blazer is a 42R, I pulled it for a client going to the same convention.

I paired it with these incredible black flat front, European cut (slim fit) pants from H&M for 34.98 on clearance. Creates a great shillouette as long as you get your size. I recommend getting them a size bigger and have them tailored to your body.

I also put it with these incredible patent leather Calvin Klein Guilford Loafers. I have been in love with patent leather for the past two years (not the other type of leather, we are saved over here). I prefer a good Mezlan shoe, my favorite foot wear designer but these Calvin Klien are great for a summer convention and day/evening wear. It won't cause you to break the bank either to purchase a pair.

Of course a few accessories to add to this look. An amazing crisp, white, Monogramed wide spread collar by Paul Fredrick. My dad introducede to these great menswear designers. I now buy all my white shirts from them. A great silver tie bar I would choose instead of a gold bar. This one you can get from Target for $10.00.

A great solid black tie will do, nothing to fancy because the jacket is doing all of the talking and it's talking real good. A friend of mine in NY by the name of Daniel (@soedesigns on Instagram) makes incredible ties at incredible prices. Definitely check him out. Your tie should be that of good quality material with some weight to it. Happy Socks are the only providers for sock ministry to me. All this extra other stuff the saints are doing, they just need to keep it in their shoes. I personally would do a simple sheer silk men's dress sock to keep the clean lines. Of course I can't forget a great lapel flower by Carraway Concepts. The black really pulls the blazer in with the rest of the look.

Last but not least, the one piece that will bring everything together. This incredible hat by Mr Sax himself. I love the height of the crown, the brim is not to wide, and the colors are very bold but masculine. These days we have to many men wearing Sheillies, but that's a different blog for a different day. Definitely check out Mr. Sax at saxultd.com to view his entire collection.

AIM here I come!!!!!!
